Was BtcTurk hacked? Statement from the exchange after suspicious transactions.

Suspicious fund outflows were detected from the hot wallets of BtcTurk, one of Turkey's largest crypto exchanges, during the afternoon. The cybersecurity company CertiK, which operates in the crypto space, reported that over 50 million dollars in cryptocurrency was withdrawn from three different wallets.

While it was assessed that the exchange's hot wallets may have been hacked, a statement also came from BtcTurk. The statement said, "Due to a technical issue in the hot wallets, cryptocurrency deposit and withdrawal transactions have been temporarily disabled. Information will be provided additionally when the transactions are reopened. Trading activities and Turkish Lira deposit and withdrawal transactions continue uninterrupted."

According to initial determinations, among the Crypto currencies that are thought to be seized by hackers are ETH, AVAX, ARB, BASE, OP, MANTLE, MATIC, ENA, AAVE, OM, ARKM, SKALE, and SPK.

BtcTurk had also experienced a hack attack in June 2024. The value of the assets stolen in that incident was again over 50 million dollars.
