Trump accuses the Bureau of Labor Statistics of fabricating employment data, criticizes the Fed for having political intentions in lowering interest rates.

[Coin World] According to reports, Donald Trump accused Erika McEntarfer, the director of the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics appointed by the Biden administration, of falsifying employment data ahead of the 2024 election. He claimed that the agency had exaggerated job growth by approximately 818,000 people in March 2024 and overestimated it by 112,000 people in August and September. He stated that he has instructed his team to immediately replace McEntarfer and criticized the agency for its repeated data revisions always leaning towards negative outcomes. Moreover, Trump also accused the Fed of having political motives in its two significant interest rate cuts before the election, calling for the "removal" of Chairman Jerome Powell.
