The United States withdrew from the Doha talks, stating that Hamas does not want to end the fighting.

U.S. Middle East envoy Wittekopf said on Thursday that the U.S. will withdraw from the Doha ceasefire talks between Israel and Hamas because it believes Hamas is not negotiating in good faith. Wittekopf traveled to Europe on Wednesday to discuss the Gaza situation and ceasefire agreements, stating that Hamas's latest response in the Doha talks indicates it is unwilling to end hostilities. Wittekopf said: "Hamas seems to be acting without coordination and without sincerity." "We will now consider other options to bring the hostages home and work to create a more stable environment for the people of Gaza."
